“O Happy Day!!!” My mother, Virginia Ford, never stopped praying for me, her wayward son, in my wild college days. Her prayers were finally answered when, in my senior year of college, I came to know Jesus Christ and was called into the ministry. Several years later she asked me to baptize her by immersion (she had previously only been sprinkled in an Episcopal Church). One of the greatest joys of my life was to baptize my mother – who, more than any other person on earth, is responsible for me becoming a Christian and minister for Christ. Now she is 96 years old. She still loves the Lord with all her heart. She still prays for me every day. Thanks, Mom!
